Liege Waffles

Sometimes you just need a real Belgian waffle. Not a pancake made in a waffle iron but an honest to goodness Liege Waffle. This one is my favorite!

I know, you look at the recipe and think it’s too involved…you have to start the day before….but it is so worth the effort.

My $40 Costco Belgian Waffle maker worked great with the dough.

Fresh fruit, Nutella, cinnamon sugar, or just whipped cream are wonderful on top of the waffle.  I top mine with cookie butter.

You can buy it at Trader Joe’s and at grocery stores by the peanut butter.
